Friday Fun-Time Rubix League – Round 2: Fifa 2011

To save argument we decided to draw the game at random from a hat for Round 2 of the Rubix League - and the winner is...Fifa 2011!

Ant vs Ash:  Ant is the favourite going into Round 2 and brushes through his first game with a 2-0 win against Ash.

Kaiser vs Sean:  After 120 minutes of extreamly even action the two of them get ready for penalties. Kaiser scores his first with a cheeky shot straight down the middle and Sean responds well to even up the score. Same again from Kaiser and from Sean as the scores even up at 2-2! A stunning save from Kaiser puts him 3-2 up but his plan of catching Sean out by shooting straight down the middle 5 times in-a-row soon backfires as Sean saves the next two penalties and puts away his own to finish things up at 3-4.

Andy vs Sean:  Andy's Liverpool side put 3 past Sean to seal another victory for the bookies outside bet.

Kaiser vs Ash:  A fairly close match is seperated by a single goal late into the second half as Kaiser scrapes through to his first Round 2 victory.

Ant vs Sean: Sean's awkward style of play (lobbing the ball back and forth repeatedly) throws Ant of at first but soon into the second half he finds away through and goes on to win 3-0. At this point the third, fourth and fifth places are set which means the winner of the final match between Ant and Andy will finish Round 2 in pole position.

Ant vs Andy:  The final match of the Round is here and everyone is set for an Epic Merseyside derby as Ant's Everton take on Andy's Liverpool for the title. First blood goes to Andy who quickly took a hold of the game and made it count with a goal midway through the first half. Ant grows frustrated as he tries to find an equaliser but he has had Andy woried a few times now and is starting to find his way back into the game. 75 minutes in and Andy scores a second from a well constructed counter attack, Ant wont admit it but I think that's it for this game!! Ant can't believe it as the final whistle blows and he has lost to Andy for the first time ever (not the first time they've played...just incase you were wondering).
